OVERVIEW

We are looking for a District Retail Store Manager who can create store policies and marketing programs that will increase sales and grow our customer base at two store locations in the same district. This person will be responsible for maintaining and adjusting operations where needed, and make necessary changes to sustain the projected profit margin for each month.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION

  • Complete store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees as well as following up on work results
  • Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Achieves financial objectives by analyzing and forecasting sales
  • Meeting sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to staff
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
  • Manage / communicate stock needs with buyers
  • Maintains consistent posting and engagement on retail store social media pages, while initiating social media ideas and changes to better the company
  • Identifies customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and current customers
  • Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans
  • Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures
  • Manage all controllable costs to keep operations profitable
  • Organizing special promotions, displays, and events
  • Initiate changes to improve business internally and externally
  • Respond to / assist with customer complaints
  • Provide training to improve the knowledge base of the staff and utilize cross-training methods to maintain productivity when employees are absent
  • Maintains a safe and clean store environment
  • Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
  • Leads entire staff in maintaining a well displayed store and merchandise
  • Ensures the store layout and displays are changed regularly
  • Requires that each employee does their part in creating and executing merchandise displays
  • Stays current and up to date on all style and merchandise trends

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of retail management experience
